Southern Crushed Concrete (SCC) named Richard Henderson Managing Director of the company after the retirement of 26-year SCC veteran Jim Miller on July 4, 2017.

With over 25 years in the industry, Henderson brings wide range of experience from every aspect of the recycled materials, demolition and mining business. As Managing Director for SCC, he will lead the company – that includes demolition, construction rubble recycling and mining at 18 facilities across the Houston, Galveston and Corpus Christi markets.

Henderson joined SCC’s parent company, Webber, LLC, as a Design-Build Manager in 2014 and grew into the Director of Project Control position within the heavy civil division. As Director of Project Controls, he was responsible for scheduling, cost control, procurement, document control and claims. Prior to joining Webber, Henderson served as an Area Manager for Granite in Washington.

Jim Miller assisted in starting the company’s recycled materials operations in 1991 and has led the group though many changes, including Ferrovial’s acquisition of its parent company, Webber, LLC, in 2005.The leadership transition at SCC started at the beginning of 2017 with Henderson taking on more responsibilities as Miller’s retirement date approached.
