The Ag Center started construction in June 2017 and is expected to complete in Spring 2018
Houston, TX, August 17, 2017 – Webber, LLC’s commercial construction division has been selected for the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District (GCCISD) Agriscience Center Expansion & Renovation Project. This project will expand and renovate the existing facility located at 8312 John Martin Road, Baytown, Texas. The facility sits on a 15-acre site and will create an additional 29,000sf of animal pens and show arena to support about 350 high school students who participate in Goose Creek CISD’s agriscience program.
In order to support the needs of the GCCISD students and faculty, the project is being phased to allow the existing facilities to remain in service until the new arena and animal pens are made available. Following the successful construction and turnover of the new facilities the existing structure will be renovated to allow additional teaching facilities. Webber’s strategic planning has prioritized student safety and the ongoing care of the as they have been carefully phased and segregated to ensure that construction activities do not interfere with the daily care of the animals.
The new project will include three new metal buildings for housing many different species of animals and the expansion/renovation of the existing facilities. New paved parking with lighting and site roads will be constructed along with an area detention pond and clearing of the surrounding fields.
