The Texas Department of Transportation will begin construction this fall on the next two segments of the Grand Parkway, which is expected to be the largest highway loop in the United States by 2022.

TxDOT awarded a $585 million construction contract for segments H, I-1 and I-2 to Grand Parkway Infrastructure — a partnership with Ferrovial Agroman Construction, along with Webber LLC and Granite Construction Inc.

Segments H and I will span from New Caney to Baytown while passing near the Crosby and Huffman areas.
