ASME appoints Webber employee to serve as a Contributing Member for P30 Planning
On October 24th, 2011 Cliff Warren, Crane Superintendent for Webber was appointed to serve as a Contributing Member of the P30 Planning for the Use of Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Cableways, Aerial Devices and Lifting Accessories for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Standards & Certification committee.
The ASME Standards & Certification committee, “P30”, has been chartered to develop standards that support lift planning activities that involve the use of equipment such as cranes, derricks, hoists, cableways, aerial devices and material lifting accessories. It is envisioned that this document will help managers and other professionals in the construction and material handling industries who are responsible for ensuring the safe execution of both routine and non-routine lifting operations.
